4. Twister received 1997 Academy Award nomination for Best Visual Effects and BAFTA Award winner for Best Special Visual Effects
3. A Spinning House sequence Vfx shot took 4 months.ILM artist Stu Maschwitz animated the house by hand
2. Most of the shots are captured in handheld camera less bluescreens used, harder to matchmove on those days
1. Test footage from ILM of the twister was all it took for Warner Bros to greenlight the film.
